Over the years I have had the pleasure of traveling around the northwest with my father going to art shows. Many of these shows place me in prestigious resorts. Places like Veil Colorado, Edmonds Washington, and Sunvalley Idaho, among others. In these resort towns there are often beautiful exsamples of performance cars that grace the streets, making the stay in town all the more enjoyable. Case in point. This gorgeous late model Ford GT.
Seeing this car is a nice reminder that America, every once in a while, can pull off a winner.
This car is a throwback to the 1960's GT40's that raced at Le mans and Indy against exotics like Ferraris and Lamborghinis, many times humiliating them with large lap time gaps.
Recently Ford came out with the next generation of the GT (the one after this model). Along with the new GT, Ford has come out with other modern performers like the new 2016 Focus RS and Fiesta ST, not to mention the 2015/16 5.0 Mustang. All these cars further show how America might be making a stand against the lacking performance the enthusiasts of this country have been stuck with for decades.
